These new Mixed Media Contemporary Abstract Tree Forms are inspired by the beautiful variations of trees I encounter. I'm using bold Acrylics, Spray paint, Oil Crayons in these works. As well as a variety of heavy bodied and textured gel mediums. I start out each composition by blocking in large dark shapes, letters, numbers and symbols in a grafitti-esque fashion. Numerous layers of rich color and texture are then continuously applied. Over time, each painting takes on the feel of an organic "bark like" multi dimensional surface that invites the viewer to touch...to embark on a journey inspired by its visceral depth.
